About Negeri Sembilan
'BERSIH, MUAFAKAT DAN SEJAHTERA'
Negeri Sembilan is located on the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia, which is the state is bordered by Selangor to the north, Pahang to the east, and Malacca and Johor to the south. The distance from Kuala Lumpur to Negeri Sembilan takes only 1 hour and a half, which is equivalent to 50 kilometres. The capital city of Negeri Sembilan is Seremban, which serves as the gateway to the state's attractions and is known as the largest city in this state.
Negeri Sembilan has a unique system of governance known as "Adat Perpatih". It is a unique social and cultural system that governs various aspects of Minangkabau society, including family structure, inheritance, and land ownership. Besides that, the "Adat Perpatih" has also influenced the political system in Negeri Sembilan, where it follows a unique form of monarchy known as "Undang" where the ruler is chosen based on a matrilineal succession system. The ruler will be selected from among the descendants of the female nobility, and the position will be passed down through the female line.
In Negeri Sembilan, there are districts, sub-districts, main cities, new cities, towns, and many more. Therefore, among the main districts or cities that are very popular in Negeri Sembilan are Jelebu, Kuala Pilah, Seremban, Tampin, Port Dickson, Rembau, Jempol, and Gemas.

However, in my hometown, which is Rembau, there are various sub-districts or "Mukim" such as Batu Hampar, Bongek, Chembong, Chengkau, Pedas, Gadong, Kundor, Legong Ilir, Legong Ulu, Tanjong Kling, and many more.
REMBAU
SUB-DISTRICTS

Batu Hampar sub-district is one of the sub-districts in Negeri Sembilan, and is also one of the sub-districts located in the administration of Rembau District.

Kampung Bongek about 6 km from Bandar Rembau, Negeri Sembilan became popular because of its unique name. The existence was the name of this village when King Melewar arrived from Pagar Ruyong in 1773.

The majority of residents in Chembong are Minangkabau Malay descent. The name Chembong was also chosen as the identifying name for the Chembong State Assembly Constituency.

In its early years, Chengkau town was built near the old railway station (the station building still exists) but later was moved near the access road (the Seremban to Tampin road).

The town is popular for having a hot spring which has been developed into a hot spring water park called Wet World Pedas. Apart from that, there is nothing much with regards the town of Pedas itself.

This village area can be said to bring together most of the heirs from 'Suku Tanah Datar" which also leads to the area up to Chengkau Ulu village.

Legong Ulu is home to an impressive selection of attractions and experiences, making it well worth a visit.

Tanjung Kling got its name from the settlement area of people who came from the Keling continent (now India), as mentioned in Google Maps and Hang Tuah's story about his voyage to the Keling continent

ASTANA RAJA is an area located in Legong ILIR Subdistrict which is in Rembau.
